Dual language kindergarten students at Brookhaven Elementary School explored a variety of careers during a career day at their school on May 21. The students heard from parent volunteers who spoke about their jobs. Among the speakers were Jackie Subhash, director of the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society; John Shanley and Pablo Herrera of Jim’s Deli in Brookhaven; Elettra Wiedemann of Mama Farm in Brookhaven; and Francis Derby of the State Room in Patchogue. Students also participated in hands-on activities with the guests.
